As an internet marketer and online business owner, you have to utilize offline marketing when it comes to gaining clients. Although it can be a challenge for many entrepreneurs, being innovative and finding creative ways to market your business can supercharge your profits. As a beginner, your main focus is maximizing your business above and beyond it’s current status. This requires direct marketing strategies for small businesses, both online and offline.

Word of Mouth Referrals
Friends and family are a good place to start for referring people to what you have to offer. Usually, these are the people that are most supportive of you and your business. But don’t take advantage of them because of that. Offer a bonus of some sort for every lead conversion. This will keep them bringing you more customers.
You can even have a contest to see who refers more and develop a leader board so everyone knows who’s at the top. Word-of-mouth is the best and most effective strategy for referrals. If you want to be successful, open your mouth and tell others.
Correspondence
Sending messages through e-mails or even using postal services, make sure you have your website and business info in you signature line. You can do this on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn also. When signing off, include a link to your blog or website. You should also put your upcoming promotions along with it so your recipients are aware of the products and/or services you are offering.
Business Cards/Brochures
You should be giving a business card to everyone you meet. You might bump into an old friend at the grocery store or at the mall. Make sure you carry your cards with you at all times. If you are dining out, when it’s time to pay, leave your business card or a brochure on the table. The idea is to let people know about what you have to offer. Don’t underestimate this method because it works.
Electronic Stores
Usually when you go into electronic stores such as Best Buy, they have computers lined up and you are able to see how well they work. While you are checking them out, go to your website. Do this on every computer you can get your hands on. You never know who will be looking at the computers after you leave.
Car Door Magnets
This method will bring a lot of exposure to your business because as you drive around town, people will be looking at the sign on your car door. If they are interested, they might just go to your website to check it out.
Utilize Free Advertising
Craigslist and eBay are very popular for getting clients. You can post ads for free in the section of your choice in your city or area. Use clickable image ads to make it easy for potential prospects to get directly to your site. There is no fancy software needed. Simply use the paint tool on your computer to add your website URL to the image. If you are not so tech savvy, you can have someone design an ad for you on Fiverr for $5 and grab an HTML code for your image by uploading it to Flickr or Photobucket.
Free press releases are another way to advertise. Just make sure you read the guidelines for each press release site.

Attracting and gaining clients with specific marketing strategies for small businesses requires lots of effort and consistency. You’ve got to be creative with your strategies to figure out what works for you. Network with other internet marketers to get some ideas. It’s competitive but some people are willing to help. You always want to stay current but some old methods are worth keeping.
