Here’s a quick tutorial on how to upload a plugin to WordPress using FTP. If your plugin is too large to upload via your blog, FTP is the alternative option.

For instance, if I go to ‘Plugins’ which is located on the left side of the Dashboard underneath ‘Appearance’, I would click on ‘Add New’ and this would bring me to the plugin page.

Then I would click on ‘Upload a Plugin’ and choose the file I want to upload. Then click on ‘Install’.

If the plugin is too large, WordPress will let me know, and I can then use the FTP option to get the job done.

You can also use this for uploading a large theme to your blog as well. Enjoy!

What I used:

Hybrid Connect– This plugin is ideal for building squeeze pages, optin boxes, etc. It also has Facebook integration and works with just about every autoresponder service out there.

Ipage– hosting provider (although I plan on moving over to HostMonster next month)
